Personal Statement
I was born and raised right here in Mobile, and I feel incredibly fortunate to serve the families of my hometown as a pediatrician. My journey in medicine began at the University of South Alabama, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences before completing my medical degree at the Whiddon College of Medicine. I then completed my pediatric residency at USA Children’s & Women’s Hospital, where my passion for providing compassionate, comprehensive care for children of all ages continued to grow.
Caring for children has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember—from leading youth groups at church to working at summer camps—so becoming a pediatrician was a natural extension of that calling. One of the things I enjoy most about pediatrics is building lasting relationships with families and being part of a child’s growth and development through every stage of life. I place a strong emphasis on preventative care and patient education, while striving to create a welcoming environment where both children and parents feel heard, supported, and empowered.
My wife, Shelby, and I have been together since high school, and we are proud parents to our daughter, Annaliese, and our son, Elijah, along with two energetic dogs: Skadi, a Doberman, and Mars, an Irish Setter. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, playing sports, being outdoors, and competing in board games and video games with friends.
I’m honored to be a part of the team at Pediatric Associates of Mobile and look forward to continuing to help the next generation of children thrive physically, emotionally, and socially.
